May each of our sons grow the heart of a man before growing the body of a man. May each of our own hearts continue to be formed along the way...

Husband's Song (Humor!)
Disclaimer: Sometimes you gotta laugh! Skip this if you're too serious - it is meant for husband's. You married men have to get a laugh out of some if not all. I have no idea who sent this to me but it is worth a view.
My wife Mary and I travel the country in full-time ministry primarily to Roman Catholic families. For more info on that click here: prayerbreaks.org
This blog is an effort to gather and offer common sense advice for men as they strive to raise sons and daughters to be authentic men and women.
To be successful this will take more than just my input. I do not know everything. If you agree or disagree with my statements - tell me. It is one of the ways we can all grow in wisdom.
Click on the word 'comments' at the end of each posting, type your comment and at the end of the comment section select 'anonymous'. All I see is 'anonymous sent a comment' and then I have the option to let it be posted. Because of the subject matter I am keeping full control of what gets posted.
Idea #1) Share your memories of how and when you learned the facts of life. How do you wish you had learned?
Idea #2) Question box input: Write the questions your sons asked as they approached or went through puberty along with your answers. Or write the questions YOU had back then but may not have been able to ask along with the answers that would have been most helpful to you.
Married 13 years, I am the father of 2 boys (12 and 8) and 1 girl (2). This is for men who, like me, desire to challenge and encourage their sons to walk the road to authentic manhood.
(and daughters toward authentic womanhood. Yes, we fathers do have a crucial role in that regard as well.) As we form the hearts of our children - our own hearts are formed as well.
Here we 'gather at the fire' and call each other to live out our vocation as husbands and fathers.
For the good of souls, I consecrate this effort through the Immaculate Heart of Mary to the Heart of our Heavenly Father through the Sacred Heart of Jesus by the power of His Holy Spirit. All for the glory of God.
Wow - that about covers everything in the universe - yes?
Amen!
MJP
